Clothes woes

Having worked in various office jobs for the past 13 years, I have accumulated quite a fair number of clothes that I will termed loosely as semi-formal. Formal enough to wear them to work, but not casual enough for me to wear at home / go out.

So I have been finding it tough on deciding what to wear on Peanut's school runs. I mean, I do have those baggy t-shirts and shorts that I wear at home but I certainly can't wear them when I go and pick the kid up from kindy can I ? Too many parents and teachers about  and I don't want to look as if I don't give a damn about myself ( I still do. For now). When I'm at home, my t-shirts are usually covered with whatever stains I get from cooking / cleaning / kids  while trying to get my work done at home. And I find it draggy when I have to put on a pair of jeans (the weather is so hot to even consider jeans) and a clean enough shirt just to look half decent. So what do I end up wearing? Shorts tend to look very "pyjamas" on me so I have been going out  in leggings and long enough t-shirts to cover my ass and to avoid any camel toe incidents. So I guess that's on my shopping list now. Get more long t-shirts!!!

End of an era

The stars dark clouds have been aligning in such a way, that I have no other options but to finally, resign from my job. And I'm going to be a stay at home mom, or to put it bluntly, a housewife. This is not something that I thought I will do at this stage, but seeing how things are and due to my mounting frustrations, I think the best option is to take care of the kids on my own, and not to depend on others.

Frankly, I'm a bit worried about stepping into this new role. Now one of the biggest change will be that I no longer have my own income! This is definitely something i'm not used to.  I have worked since 2001, and stopped asking my parents for money upon my graduation. Even when I was still college, i worked in various part time jobs, from a banquet waitress, to a tuition teacher, a cafe waitress and an administrative assistant. Now..I will have no money aside from the ones given by DH and my current savings (which i rather not touch).  No more random shopping sprees and random, impulsive, purchases. And everything is so expensive nowadays especially anything related to children. Eeeks. Now that I'm reflecting on my past part time jobs, I can't believe i was paid a measly RM10 for a few hours work at a wedding banquet. RM10!!!!. Gosh, you can't even buy a cup of starbucks with RM10. Well, to be fair, that was in 1997 but still! I can't believe I was happy with it.  Maybe because I was working together with   a couple of friends so it didn't really felt like work.

Anyway..back to my story. Secondly, i'm not really a housewife material. I can clean (though i hate ironing i can never get the clothes to be wrinkle free!!), and sort of cook up decent meals for the kids and DH, but i have the tendency to be all depressed etc if I cooped up myself at home 24/7. I might go mad with the kids screaming at me all the time! I love them  of course, but i definitely need more external simulation so this leads me to search for freelance jobs. I now might have a possible 2 to 3 freelance jobs in the pipeline which will give me a fixed income each month so I guess that will help me to have some income and a window to the outside world. Hohoho. But can I work with the kids around? Ok..too much to think about at this point. As it is, I'm already very overwhelmed by all the changes coming my way.   I'll cross the bridge when i come to it.

On the other hand, I'm also looking forward to spend more time with the kids. For the past few years, I'm too tired to play with them after work because I still got to do some chores when i get home. As a result, I'm sometimes a bit cranky with them. Kesian la. Want to play with mummy but mummy is cranky and too exhausted. But now I will have time. So, this, is a good change too.

We'll see how it goes. Ganbatte! \ 0 /

Novena of Confidence

I discovered this prayer a long time ago, in a leaflet in an old church, placed for people who come in at all odd hours to pray. In moments of worries (and you know i worry a lot lol) desperation and sometimes sadness,I have used this prayer countless of times. All good things must be shared, so here, I'm sharing this wonderful prayer with you, the Novena of Confidence.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
To your most Sacred Heart,
I confide this/these intention(s):

(State you intention(s) here...)

Only look upon me,
And then do
What your Sacred Heart inspires.

Let your Sacred Heart decide
I count on it
I trust in it
I throw myself on Your mercy,
Lord Jesus!
You will not fail me.

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I trust in You.
Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I believe in Your love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Your Kingdom come.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I have asked you for many favors,
But I earnestly implore this one.
Take it.

Place it in Your open, broken Heart;
And, when the Eternal Father looks upon It,
Covered with Your Precious Blood,
He will not refuse it.

It will be no longer my prayer,
But Yours, O Jesus.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I place all my trust in You.

Let me not be disappointed.

Amen.

Commuting

Since Monday, both BigB and me has been commuting to work together. This week is a trial run to determine whether we should do this long term, or until....*ahem* So far so good, though i need to wake up earlier, just so that we can leave the house by 7am. Well, the only 'setback' is that I need to stay back in the office to wait for BigB to finish up work. He works in a bank, and the hours are pretty unpredictable so I can't leave at 5:30pm on the dot anymore *sniffles*. It gets pretty lonely in the office though. 99% of my colleagues also leave at 530pm sharp except for this one guy, so the office is kinda quiet...

Well, on the plus side, the journey to work and home isn't that boring anymore. And we get to spend more time together. And the jam isn't that bad by the time I leave office at 7pm. :)

Living at home

I have been living with my in-laws since Peanut was born, from my confinement up to now, and so far, so good. Not bad for someone who really likes a lot of privacy and "me" time, i think i'm due for a pat on the shoulder LOL.

Our house has been ready since the end of last year, but because of my pregnancy, and at that time we were still living in a rented condo, and because of the "dunno whether it will affect us or not recession" and also because baby's priority is number one, renovations was never started. Until now. I think i'm getting too comfortable staying with the in-laws. We really need to kick start the renovation and the plan is to start somewhere in September / October, and comfortable as i am now, I really miss having a home to call our own.

Right now, a lot of my stuff are everywhere. Our current room in the in-laws resembles a refugee halfway-house. Everything is stuffed to the max, and I have to really reorganise all our stuff to make everything fit. Thank God for Ikea containers. Most of my stuff are also kept in boxes in the new house, and if you ask me to find my beloved comfy sneakers now, I have no idea where it is *uhuk uhuk* Ditto to all my cute fridge magnets which we have collected on our holidays, our photo frames, or my notebook, or my coffee percolator or even my yoghurt maker. yeah, i was quite the model housewife when i was still living in the condo. Wanted to make my own organic, preservatives-free yoghurt konon.

ok ok let's get back on track, back to my in-laws. My in-laws are very easy going people, they are never interfering, takes really good care of Peanut, they give me lots of space, and never tells me what to do. My MIL especially is a very caring woman, and I'll always remember how she takes care of me when i had that operation in January. I had to lie in bed most of the time then, and she'll bring me hot milo and crackers to my room daily "just in case I'm hungry", brings warmed up chicken essence to me, and makes nutritious soups for me daily. To the point I felt very embarassed. Embarassed that my MIL had to serve me and I coudn't do anything to help. and I was also very, very touched. Touched to the point I cried one time during lunch when she put down a bowl of hot herbal soup with a huge drumstick in front of me. Cos that time I was an emo wreck la. I was worried bout the baby, worried about myself, basically, worried about everything la(I'm Worry Queen remember? lol) and when someone shows that they care when you're really down, you will cry rite?? haha And I also missed my parents greatly then, who lives in East Malaysia. *sob sob*.

So yeah. Anyways.....now that i've lived with them for a few months, here are a few things which I *think* are key to a harmonious family life with the in-laws keke

a) Always greet your in-laws, when you see them for the first time in the day. and before the big meals of the day i.e. lunch / dinner
b) Be respectful at all times.. Always smile and say okay no matter how much you disagree. haha and get the husband to "correct" them later. Let him be the middleperson hehe. Actually, scratch that. let him be the spokesperson la whenever you need something done haha
c) if possible, have a helper / maid at home. So at least there's no conflict with regards to laundry, cleanliness and usage of stuff cos you don't have to do it
d) Get a tv in your room. Ah, super important for me. Cos you know how i like my privacy and stuff, and alone time, so you get to chill in your own space watching what you want without any interference.
e) Tell MIL about your day at work or whatever (not the gossip type), so at least she feels she is part of your life.
f) Sometimes there are things that are just not worth sweating over. Like sometimes my MIL has her own way of doing things. Things sometimes i find quite absurd or doesn't make sense. Like putting socks on Peanut at all time to make sure her feet will be in shape, and slim, and not flay out like a duck in future. I find the reasoning quite illogical, but what the heck, so long as she's happy doing it, why not. After all, she meant Peanut no harm and only wants the best for her.
g) And ooo lastly, it's very important to have an understanding hubby. BigB has always been supportive of my needs, no matter how crazy they are sometimes and he's always happy to be the middleperson and spokesperson haha (see point b) and he knows I need my "alone" time away from everything, so he'll bring me out for dinner or shopping alone just so I can have more normalcy in life.

Eh 7 points only but whatever la. I've been staying there for 5 months plus only LOL. But i think other factors also play a part lah. Like how easy going they are. I think if my PIL are the super naggy, super kaypoh type, or I have monsters SIL or BIL, i dun think i can take it either even if i have the patience of a Saint. And i think it works also because I'm working so I don't spend a lot of time at home. True, not?

oh geez.. The weeks are really zooming by. Is it because as you get older, time goes faster?? It sure feels that way. And don't you just love the weekends? Thank God it's Friday!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Worrying myself silly

As Peanut is reaching the 6 months mark, it seems that there a lot of things that i need to learn to start nurturing and developing her into a well-balanced, sociable, happy child. But where and how do I start? *scratches head*

I've done the simple basics: Talking to her like an adult all the time; without resorting to baby talk. I do not like to use "baby talk" on her for example "oh oh" for sleeping, "nen nen" for milk, and "kai kai" for a walk but sometimes I do find myself saying it. I can't help it cos her grandparents uses it sometimes on her. I've also started reading to her, and showing her flash cards and letting her watch Disney Clubhouse which i find quite educational. I hug her, I kiss her, and tell her that I love her all the time. So hm..am I doing enough? *scratches head some more*

I've been reading this mom's blog, and she's really doing a lot for her 2 year old son: bringing him on play dates, signing him up for baby classes, educating him at home etc etc, so now her son is really well adjusted, speaks well and...you get my drift. And to tell you the truth, i felt really quite inadequate.like I'm not doing enough. *eek* and being a working mum, I do not really have time to interact with Peanut. I'm usually quite tired when i reach home after work, and can only do whatever i can during the weekends.

When she reaches 6 months...i'll need to start feeding her solids (what kind of food? pureed, organic stuff, or chinese style porridge, or cereal, or baby biscuits or all? you see where this is leading to? Too many choices, too many experts' opinions out there, too confusing hehe). I'll need to start looking for activities for her to get involved in. I'll need to do...more. And oo...sensitive topic: but how do i discipline her properly without using the cane and still get her to listen to me?? (when she's older-la of course) . and in future, what pre-schools to send her, english or chinese medium and the list goes on and on....Wow, stressful or wot?

Ok ok *calm down*

I have a few more weeks to go before she turns 6 months. I'll need to start looking for a good book to sort of give me a 'guide'. In the meantime, I'll enjoy her baby-ness for now.

Monday blues

Yesterday I asked a friend whom i've not seen for a year plus, whether i am still fat. And he just laughed. For a bit too long.

So i think I know the answer. T_____T

**********

I went and returned my books yesterday. And the lady boss said am I sleeping or coping better because I looked less frazzled, less 'charn' than the last time i saw her.

I thought I looked great the last time i met her.T______T

**********

After two weeks of not checking my weight and eating only 4 spoonful of rice each meal, I bravely stepped onto the weighing scale this morning, hoping to at least lose half a kilo since then. After a few minutes of re-checking the scale, hitting it a couple of times just to 'make sure' it's not faulty, i've finally accepted the result.

I had gained a kilo instead T______T

**********
The other day, i went to my fridge, hoping to drink my never opened before soya bean milk, i realised that the box was empty. And the empty box was left inside the fridge.

I think that fler has been secretly stealing my food. T______T and ditto to my face moisturizer. and my milo bars *uhuk uhuk*

**********

Ah, life's great isn't it? Happy Monday everybody!!

You know you are wrapped around...

Peanut's little finger when:

  • You changed your Astro package to include her cartoon channels.
  • You wake up at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am without complaining
  • she regurgitates up her milk all over your clothes, her clothes, the newly changed bedsheets and you never once flinched or get mad.
  • she kicks you in the face when she sleeps and you never complain about the pain
  • you go out shopping all day and you only bought stuff for her and nothing for yourself and yet you still feel satisfied and happy
  • she does the number 2 and has poo all over her clothes and yet you still console yourself by saying "at least it doesn't smell so bad"
  • it's 5:30am and you can still catch some snooze before you get ready for work but you choose to play and sing to her instead.
  • you brush your teeth immediately after eating petai so that she won't smell it on your breath when you kiss her
  • you sing nursery rhymes out loud to her despite knowing your singing is not so good and that the people around you might be snickering at your lousy vocals. And you don't give a damn.
  • she screams and laughs so loud you think you're going deaf but all you can think off is "maybe she can become Taurus's future karaoke kaki".
  • you drink coffee round the clock just to stay awake and be more alert when she wakes up in the middle of the night.
  • you look forward to go home after work everyday just so you can bathe her and spend some time alone together.
  • she gives out a loud burp and you tell everyone to excuse her for burping like a man.
She is playing me real good. oh yeah.

Keep rolling rolling rollin......

Yesterday, my BIL informed me that Peanut has finally rolled over while i was at work (must record down in case flens wanna use Peanut as a benchmark in the near future - 4 months 5 days) Good job Peanut, good job!! *pats Peanut's bouncy bottom* Now can you show me please?????!!

T__T

I have yet to see it. This is what will happen when you're working. You will miss certain milestones in her life.

Pics taken by my BIL

Apparently she was quite exhausted when she finally, fully rolled over. According to my MIL, she was panting real hard and didn't move for quite a bit after that. Wah, like mother like daughter. Do a bit of exercise also can pant like mad. I walk up one flight of stairs also I cannot tahan already.

How la wey!! I feel like i'm in need of a serious dose of exercise cos the weight is not falling off like how it falls off so easily for Posh Spice. But I dun have time to go to the gym! Serious!! I"m not making excuses!!

:(

And I'm really not looking forward to work tomorrow, cos I don't wish to talk to gold digger ear digger.

Short weekend updates

Yesterday, BigB and me went to redo my car's tinting at Ecotint. Been wanting to get a darker and safety film installed for quite a while already. Had been stalling for a while UNTIL poor Mei Li's car window got smashed by a dude on motorcycle, who then grabbed her handbag and rode off in rush hour traffic at 6pm last week. Bloody hell hope their balls fall off and rot and they'll be unable to procreate for the rest of their fecking lives.

Sigh, I don't even feel safe in my own country anymore :(

Did the tint here, their Subang branch. Don't dare to take up close, scared the scary looking tint installers will scream at me

Secretly took this pic. The waiting / observation room. Full of men's mags. Not a female magazine in sight. Guess their customers are mainly males la!! *grumble*

Anyway, the dudes at Ecotint installed a safety film where the girl there claimed that i'll take up to 15 hard bashings on my window before it breaks. So they took out my old tint, because this safety film can only adhere to glass. And after that, they stick the normal tint over it. I chose a reflective type tint so that it keeps more heat out, and also so that it's harder to look inside my car. So it's double layered la. But no worries, all JPJ approved!!!! Dem happy now, at least i will feel more safe and secure when I drive la, since i'm always stuck in traffic jams after work and always lots of motorcyclists around *scared* . T_T

Actually their service is good. The place is clean, fully air-conditioned, free drinking water available, and you can even sms the boss before you go there to get him to quote you the price. You just need to tell him your budget, type of car, and what you want to do. So at least you won't be shocked by the exorbitant amount when you reached there. And the boss even sms me after i reached home (he's not based at the Subang branch) to make sure i'm satisfied with it, and to remind me not to wind down my window for a week. Woooooo... great customer service lor!! *pleased*

And thanks to BigB for sponsoring! *your broke wifey is really grateful uhuk uhuk*

Scarf i bought online

Ate Chilli Pan Mee for lunch nearby as recommended by Pei Chyi. No pictures cos too hungry I forgot. Found out that it's the same branch in Kota Damansara which we used to frequent last time. It's super yummy lor!! Dem pedas and satisfying!! *slurppss*

Went to Subang Parade after that, to spend our time while waiting for the car to be done. All in all, we waited for 5 hours.

My studded gladiators. Favorite sandals of the moment. It's super comfy!

Went to Mothercare for Peanut's stuff cos got sales up to 60%!! When there's sales, there's me!!! They are my best friends wtf. How to resist kan!! All of the above for less than RM50. Super happy lor! And Peanut needs to stop wearing her cousin's hand me downs cos it's mostly blue and she still looks like a boy.

Bought Fudge's Salt-Spray at Shins. To give you that "got out of bed" look and volume. I was sold when i saw a picture of Nicole Richie next to it. Apparently she uses it also! And it smells of coconut!! Sigh..reminds me of the beach!! :) :) So Mei Li, if you see my hair a bit more poufy at work, you know why la!

Quite fruitful la yesterday.

This morning, we went to KLCC with Peanut early early in the morning, to avoid the human jam. Actually our main reason for going to KLCC is because the maid has been asking us about Petronas twin towers. Said she heard about them when she was studying her "maid course" in Cambodia. Whatever la, we thought it'll be nice to bring her there since she's not been out much since she got here 6 months ago, scared she'll go crazy being stuck at home the whole time. But really, she's pretty alright. Hardworking, very helpful, though forgetful at times, and hasn't given us any shit to deal with. Yet.

We didn't do much la, except walk around to buy some personal care stuff at Watsons and socks for Peanut at another Mothercare. Mothercare is my new fave place to go but only when it's on sales cos I'm cheap like that!! Had lunch at Madam Kwan's. Eh, i think the standard dropped already. BigB's nasi bojari portion is really small lor! It looks so measly and doesn't look appetising at all. He said its definitely smaller than last time because he can finish it this time and still didn't feel full.

My assam laksa. Okay only la. I think Little Penang's is better

Penaut slept through lunch. Phew!!

Oh oh, my Brother-in-law just proposed to his gf!! hehehe so happy for them. They can now start preparing for their wedding. I love weddings lor!!! Such a happy feeling. BUT only for people I know. Don't you hate going to wedding dinners of people you hardly know??

That's it!!! Have to go work tomorrow already!!! Boohooo i hate Mondays!

Muh Saturday

Sometimes Saturdays are best spent just doing nothing.

Waking up at 9am is a luxury for me which is what I did today. I could have stayed on in bed longer, but i could feel Peanut's jammies was a bit wet, so no choice, had to bathe and feed her. And we jumped back into bed after that!! It's a Saturday, so I try to "sleep in" by just chillaxing (new word i learned from the office, not good not good hate this word actually)..playing with Peanut, read my book, drink some coffee, channel surf, log onto twitter, basically lazing in bed till BigB wakes up at 12pm. Loves it.

Had to go to Bangsar today to return my books. Begining this year, i have started to rent my books instead of buying them, cos recession mah, have to save money. Books not cheap yo! I could have bought a mobile phone with the amount of money i spent on books last year. And BigB has been complaining about them cos it's taking too much space.

Anyway, i love this little book store. It's crammed with books, all kinds, and really up to date, and they stock up on books that I would really buy from Borders. Loads of chick-lits, biographies, historical, thrillers. And there's this really helpful lady who always recommends books that I really like. I think me and her can gel la wtf. *found new friend*

It's not those kind of rent-a-book store that only rents out comics and those romance books with pictures of hunks and damsel in distress types. I really hate those kind of books. Eeeeeshhhhiwww...Who reads them wey??!

On our way there. Nowadays, i have to sit at the back de, if Peanut is with me.

Are we there yet..? *sigh*

Bye bye books. The Marian Keyes's one is dem funny. I like!!

Peanut's stuff

Stopped at D'lish after. Must bring Peanut out somewhere once in a while. Don't want her to be anti-social (*cough* like her mother) in future.

Oo....chocolate cake wif ice cream + my fave ice lemon tea

Eee Mummy why do you still have pimples????

**********************

It's now 10:50pm. Peanut is sleeping. BigB is watching Wanted. Again. What is with him and watching the same movies over and over again?? Not sien one meh?? Got action scene also not so action anymore, cos you know that person is gonna get killed.

I'm trying to get him to bring me a cup of milo. or coke light. And something to munch. *hungry leh* Wish me luck!

Nite!!!

Tulan of the day: Stupid illegal parking attendant

Last Friday, me and BigB went to work together. So after work I went to pick him up since it's more convenient that way.

So as usual la, every time I reached his office, i had to wait for a while, and i had to park at this lane behind his office there. That day I thought it was my lucky day as there were two empty parking bays. So before me there was Indian dude who was parking his car, and i was waiting for him to park his car so i can park mine, since the empty spot is next to his.

The moment he parked, he came out of the car and started directing me into my parking spot. I thought wah this dude is so nice, help me to park in this cramped space. or maybe he thought i'll scratch his car la, so no choice have to help me park. Not that i need help parking okie!! I learned how to drive for 6 months , with 4 months just learning how to park while my driving tutor leaves me and will go chit chat with his friends or read newspapers at the corner. *sad*

Anyway, after i finished parking my car, he suddenly whipped out this receipt book from his front pocket and showed me all five fingers and said "RM5!!!!"

*&^%$#$%

He's actually those illegal parking attendant / jockey thugs.

*Smacks head* Sometimes I need to remind myself to not be so gullible at times. This is a dog eat dog world, not Alice in Wonderland, where got people so nice help you to park your car rite? Of course I refused to pay the RM5. Simply go and charge me RM5. It's just some back alley okie, NOT Pavillion or Rodeo Drive and BigB is gonna come down in less than 10 mins. I just drove off after that. I rather make rounds and waste my car petrol rather than give my money to that fella.

*angry.*

Tulan-sified

Damn tulan wey..:
  • When the traffic lights at the Jalan P.Ramlee junction goes green only for like 5 seconds before it turns red again. So tulan especially on Fridays when there's serious gridlock and only one car can pass through.
  • When I ordered McD's delivery and they only passed me chilli sauce packets with the food. What about those people who love tomato sauce
  • When the coke light i ordered with my McD's meals are flat.
  • When i drive behind huge vehicles i.e.Trucks, buses, 4WDs cos I can't see what's in front of them.
  • When we go to a nice restaurant and they don't serve our meals at the same time. So what do I do when my partner eats? Count the number of napkins on each table?
  • WhenI go to people's blogs and suddenly shocked myself when some random song starts to play. Super irritating.
  • When BigB sleeps at 8pm on a Friday night.
  • When I streamed my favorite drama and found out right at lunch time, that the video doesn't work even though i checked half hour before that to make sure it's alright.
  • When the auntie at the fruit stall take ages to give me back my RM3 change cos she was too busy telling some grandmother story to the auntie making coffee.
  • When the hairstylist cannot take hints that I'm not interested in their products / treatments.
  • When the toilet floor is so damn wet because some people do not know how to use the bidet properly.
  • When it rains or birds shit on my car right after it is washed.
  • When they ran out of yee mee at the steamboat place.
  • When people walk super slow and are aimless in shopping malls.
  • When the hot water dispenser at my office doesn't work, making my coffee looks yucky and taste icky.
  • When I go back to the bedroom after my shower and realised i forgot to take out my contact lenses from my eyes.
  • When i have to fight with the crowd and can't find parking to eat at my favorite nasi lemak shop.
  • When it rains heavily at 5pm on a weekday = jam.
  • When i have an opportunity to go to the next lane but suddenly a few motorcyclists started honking because they need to drive through. And the window of opportunity to crossover is gone.
  • When i can't find Peanut's Avent pacifier cos the damn thing is transparent but that's the only pacifier she likes to suck to sleep.
  • When i want that thing i saw online sooooo badly only to find out it's out of stock.
  • When i still can't fit into my jeans and my tops seems shorter.
  • When we drove all the way to that dvd shop to get a stack of my haven't yet watched movies only to find it closed.
  • When all i want to do is get out of the office and go home, but the lift JUST have to stop at every freaking floor.
Phew, so many things to be tulan-ed about.

Maybe, I'll have a list of things to be grateful of next.

A day in the life of me

Every morning (weekdays), I will wake up using the alarm on my mobile phone. It's set at 6am, a seriously inhuman hour to wake up. And i will usually snooze for another 15 mins.

*sigh* time to wake up to work..

Then I'll turn to check Peanut to see wot is she doing..Most of the time she's still sleeping.

still in dreamland

Then it'll be time to take my "healthy stuff". Chlorella pills and Wheatgrass juice. Taste alright...not that icky, and neither is it yummy. Oh wait, how can healthy stuff be yummy.

Er...yums?

Anyway...next!!

At this point, I'll be rushing off to shower, brush my teeth and quickly change into my clothes. All hopefully before Peanut wakes up. At this point of time, BigB is usually still sleeping. *humph* Sometimes he'll give me a grin or a peace sign. Wat la. I'm rushing and he's still enjoying his time in bed.

Then i'll quickly put on some make up.

Muh war paint
Moving on!

I'll then bring Peanut down, grab my work bag, make myself a cup of coffee to go so can stay awake while driving and zoom out of the house!

Work bag and my coffee in a tumbler

The jam. I hate, hate, hate this part of my day. Sometimes I wish I'm King Kong so I can stomp and kick all these cars away and take 3 more steps and i'll be at my office.

ARRRGGHHH!!! I'M KING KONGG!!!

Anyway...

I'll usually reach my office around 8am. Siens. So early. So go toilet first.

Our newly renovated "hotel standard" toilet. Makes going toilet a MUCH better experience.

Then make myself a second cup of coffee and go online.

My cubicle-less office space

Taurus not in yet :(

Then i'll *ahem* work till 1pm then lunch time. Woooohoooooo!! Means, "Boys over flowers" or Lost or Gossip Girl!

Today's choice is Boys Over Flowers

Lunch. HOW TO GET THIN LIKE THIS!!

Made myself feel better by starting on a new diet regime. Cutting down on my calories!

Then work work work some more.. & occassionally talk 'about work stuff' with Taurus till bout 5:30pm...and what time is it???Time to go home!!!!! Yipeeeeeeee!!!! Same pictures as on the way to work. Jam Jam Jam. Still wanna be King Kong.

Reach home and da first person i'll see is Peanut. *smooch smooch* and give her a rub down while changing her into her pyjamas.

A bored looking Peanut

Then I'll wait for BigB to come home which is usually around 9pm so we can have dinner together. How to lose weight when i have dinner so late??!! *double haihhh*

Once dinner is over, I'll play with Peanut for a bit, give her her last feed at 11pm and tuck her into bed.

Is it time for sleep already??

GOOD NIGHT!!!

And that's it!! Boring or not?? Now how's YOUR day??

oh hi!!

Everyday when i reach home at my in-laws, I'll always greet Peanut first and get a full report on what she did the whole day from my MIL ie. how many times did she poop, how long did she sleep, when was her last meal yadda yadda so I know what to expect at night . Then i'll quickly take a shower before I give Peanut a rub down and change her into her pyjamas for the night.

Today I dressed her up in this cute baby gro outfit that Josie gave her almost two months ago. It was quite big then but now she's grown big enough to wear it. All pink and flowery, at least she looks like a girl when she sleeps cos normally she'll wear my nephew's hand me downs. . But she still looks like a boy sometimes. The other day, she was mistaken for a boy by the nurse...*smacks head*

Anyway I plonked her onto her "photoshoot bouncer" and took some photos cos i felt like it. Luckily she was in a good mood.

Hi Josie Jie Jie!!!!!!!!!!!! Howza doing??

Full body shot

I hate my camera. Stupid sony *grumbles grumbles* I need to get a new one but I dunno what to get yet *ponders* I need something that can take a clear picture when Peanut moves around and maybe take better shots at night. I probably need to troll some forums to see what's good out there...haih..or should I just get the one Xiaxue has?!! I'm so easily influenced by what i see on blogs i tell you, I need a restraining order.

Lately, i feel i am turning into an auntie. An Ah Sam. Seriously, you know you're turning into an auntie when you compare diaper and milk prices in supermarkets. Do you know that Jusco sells cheaper Mamy Poko diapers by a few dollars as compared by Tesco?? Nope, I don't think you guys care anyway haha but if you buy in bulk like we do, it matters! And that formula milk sold in those Chinese medicine halls are cheaper than those sold in supermarkets?? Why all these different pricing seriously? Can't they make life easier for mothers already and just stick to one price rather than have them running around like aunties comparing prices??! And what's the deal seriously with all these formula milk manufacturers who lilkes to increase their prices every few months as they like?? Very song meh?

why so serioouuusss

Two weeks ago I attended a wedding, and this little cutie pie was the pageboy at the church wedding. He was wearing the full regalia, bow tie and all. He's too cute for words. And he had this serious, solemn look the whole time. 20 minutes later, he still had this look when the bridal march starts and the bride and her dad started walking in and he refuses to budge. Just stand only with that look on his face. He had to be gently pushed by his mother alongside the flower girl to the altar.

zzzz

I'm having sleep deprivation wey..

Lately, Peanut has been waking up twice in a night instead of the usual once. Maybe she gets hungrier faster now. She's also a very light sleeper and can wake up at the slightest sounds.

This not-enough-sleep is making me hazy. I can't think straight when I drive, my eyes feel drier making it hard for me to wear contact lenses for long, I'm easily irritable *oops..sorry BigB!* hehe, and I can now sleep at a drop of a hat. I used to not be able to fall asleep easily.

I now try to wake up by 6:20am at the latest, so i can get out of the house by 7am. Everything needs to be done at a military precision. Besides getting ready for work, i also need to wash Peanut's bottle from the night before, change her if she's wet, bring her down to my MIL so she can take over, play and talk to Peanut for a few minutes, clean up whatever mishaps that has happened the night before i.e. milk stains & pee on the bedsheet. Usually i'll just wipe the stains off with wet wipes. No time okay!! And grab a quick cup off coffee before I zoom out of the door. Wah...tired even before i start the day!

Things will get better right? *hopeful*

I am....

still fat la haijorr!!!!!!!!!

Remember the "slimming pants" tat i bought? the super tight one?? Anyway....*deep breath* but i predicted correctly!! I couldn't even bring it up pass my thighs!!! Yes, you can call me thunder thighs now! *sniff* ANd i have fat arms too.

I weighed myself the other day at the hospital when i went for my post-partum check up. Good news is, I've lost 3kg. Bad news is...i still have 5kg to go. 5kg is a lot when you can't fit a lot of your working clothes. And the problem is i dun have the time go shopping at all. I mean, I do have a bit of time, just that most of the few times that i'm out, it's to get stuff for Peanut. We'll see whether i can sneak out this weekend to do last minute shopping or not.

Anyway........now that i'm going back to work, perhaps I can start a diet regime. Like....cut OUT rice totally and just eat protein& vegies during lunch . Okay, maybe a bit of rice can la. And no more McDonalds!! (*looks at Taurus*). And....no snacking in between. Just drink water only. And as for dinner, cut out rice totally!

Wah...Can ah can ah?? You think it'll work?? The only thing that I die die also won't cut out is my coffee. And I dun have time to do exercises okie!! Like really! * i swear* Taurus, you must slap me okay if I eat too much!

OMG...4 more days, and back to spending long hours on the road!!

Vain

Tonight as we were signing up for a medical insurance & education plan for Peanut (yup we're kiasu liddat), the insurance lady asked me for my weight cos she needs to put it down on the insurance form (why have to put one ah?! i'm not the one who's insured also). I was quite mortified lor and had to pause quite a while and had to look at BigBoss for emotional support before i managed to squeak out "64kg". Dunno why but i felt quite embarassed and I dunno why i'm telling everyone now. Anyway, conclusion is i'm still fat lah . 10 more kgs to go! I'm still constantly hungry and it takes superhuman effort not to eat too much.

Anyway......

I was around 8 months preggers when i bought this!

Does it work? I don't know yet because I haven't worn it. I think I'll only wear it when Peanut is in her 4th week, just to ensure I'm completely healed on the inside, since this thingy looks pretty tight. Like cannot-breathe-type tight.

Anyway, since the ladyboy selling this was super persuasive, and it's only RM40, and it's ideal for me to wear after pregnancy to help me get back into shape and hopefully burn the fats around my waist,I decided to buy it. One can hope rite?

We'll see how it goes. She/he (the ladyboy) said i'm supposed to wear one size up than my normal size pre-preggers. I was M then, but I decided to buy XL because L looks super small lor!!!! And i doubt i can be an M anymore.

See how small it is! I put a paperbook novel on it for size comparison. Small hor.

Actually XL also looks super small and tight la but I was in self-denial mode at that time. I just hope i can get this thing pass my thighs.

Me

OMG.

I'm seriously, seriously exhausted.

My hair's a mess, I have eyebags, and i'm tired most of the time.

I checked my weight this morning at the hospital during my post natal visit. I have lost an approximate weight of 8kg so far. 10 freaking more kgs to go *sobs* The doc also took out my stitches this morning. Wah, i was quite scared actually (if you know me, you will know by now i'm scared of most things), but luckily he distracted me with some questions about the baby and stuff which got me talking and and ta dahhhhhh...he suddenly waves the string in front of me. It was blue in color if you want to know. I was like "hey, that was good! You were distracting me, weren't you?"

"I told you it wouldn't hurt rite??" he said, quite smugly la. Yeah, it's true. I couldn't even feel a thing. It hurts more when he took out the plaster the other day when i was discharged.

Now that Peanut is out, i had a proper look at my body. A still potruding belly? Check. I still look as if i'm 2 months preggers. The linea nigra line? Yup, check. Still there. Belly button still protruding out? Nope, it has sunk back in, but it still looks ugly la. Discolored skin? Check. My belly skin is darker than the rest of my body. And i have something new. A 10cm scar below my bikini line, which can't be seen when you're wearing underwear.

Does my wound still hurt? Nope, but it's a bit sore at the upper part. It hurts the most on the first day, but by day 2, i was up and able to walk without any aid.

I seriously need to do something to my hair.
