Peanut's birthday cakes
A rainbow cake from Wondermilk "Cirque Du Lola" (RM70) . Frankly, quite a disappointment. Looks good from the outside but cake was hard and dry and too sweet. :(

Peanut's birthday

Super backdated..
We celebrated Peanut's birthday amongst family in March. Got her a Minnie Mouse cake, since she's the biggest fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She even requests for me to download it on YouTube so she can watch the same episode over and over again. Thank God for the Playhouse Disney Channel; I don't think I can live without it now! It acts as my babysitter when i got things to do around the house :) .

On her birthday itself, both DH and me took the day off from work so we can celebrate together, just the three of us. Great day, i love it we should do this more often! We woke up late, and went for an early lunch at Bangsar Village. Then off we went off to Kidz Sport, where she can create havoc and play all she wants inside. Best thing about this gym is that it only cost RM10 per entrance, there's no one around except for maybe another kid or two, very clean and there's a toddler area which means older kids won't be bumping into your teeny kid at all. She loves the slides and the mini see saw..And oh, you need to make sure both you and your kid has a pair of socks. Good idea, i hate the smell of smelly feet!

After we were done, went off to a cafe for some tea time. Ordered some cakes and a babycino for her, which she loves. It's essentially just steamed milk with chocolate powder on top but she enjoyed it thoroughly. I guess it made her feel like a grown up haha I don't allow her to hold the cup though. Her hands are still not steady enough. Confirm will spill!

Happy Birthday Part 2
Peanut's second part her birthday was celebrated at my in-laws' place. They got a second cake, whipped up some dishes, and yours truly, managed to cook mee suah. My family eats mee suah for every occassion - birthdays, farewells, welcome backs, relatives coming over, someone's getting married, whatever the ocassion-lah, the mee suah is definitely there courtesy of my mum.
So to replicate this tradition onwards in my own family, I've decided to cook the mee suah for my Peanut. Not easy considering I felt pressured as i'm cooking food for the first time which will be eaten by others other than BigB.
Some pictures.

And that's the end of part 2. And I wondered why I took so long to post it. I blame it on laziness and twitter.
Buais!!

Happy Birthday!!! Part One
So we booked a chinese restaurant for the dinner, ordered a cake and off we went off to celebrate on Saturday night with immediate family members.
Before setting off for dinner, I took the obligatory photo of her in her new dress. It's getting harder and harder to make her sit still while i take pictures.
Her uncle and future aunt got her a big pressie with a card. She's quite thrilled by it. With the card I mean.
Very engrossed by it actually.
She couldn't put it down even after 15 minutes.
And yes dear, we know you're one now! *mwuacks*
Her birthday cake which we got from Rui Patisserie.
Another look; the stars reminds me of Care Bears Movie.
It's supposed to be a red velvet cake, and velvet cake is supposed to be really red in color so I was a bit surprised when it wasn't as red as I expected it to be. Looks more like a normal chocolate cake.
It should look like this, but I guess it's good that it isn't that red :) . Less coloring, and suitable for Peanut to eat (image curi-ed from google).
Oh ya, Peanut had her first taste of cake! She's never eaten anything else except porridge, fruits and rice crackers for the past few months so that's her expression above after eating cake for the first time. Good news is, she swallowed it. She also ate rice for the first time that night. It's a night of firsts yo.
And we did all the Happy Birthday singing, blowing off the candle, eating the longetivity noodles shebang but no pictures cos I was busy helping her blow the candle with BigB wtf cos babies still can't blow yet.I took out those icing figurines off the cake, popped them into a plastic bag, and put it into the freezer at home. C0s I don't know what to do with it. Throwing it away seems a bit sayang cos it's so happy and cute, so might as well keep it and show Peanut when she turns 2 lol.
And that's part one of her mini birthday celebration. Part 2 will be on the actual date itself (tomorrow).
