Hands and feet sculpture

When BabyD turned 6 months, we brought him to the Baby Loft in Publika to do his hands and feet sculpture. We did one for Peanut when she was around 6 months old too, so we thought we better do one for him as well just in case in future he asks us how come we never had one done for him?? hahaha

Anyway, a baby's little hands and feet are SO CUTE and what better way to preserve this right? :) Preserve it and I can 'admire' it forever!~
Peanut's

We made an appointment with The Baby Loft to secure a slot.  Melissa is the lady that did the sculpture. She set up a booth there, and it's by appointments only. She did Peanut's  2 years ago. But that time we did it at her house in Puchong.  I really like her. She's gentle with the kids, sweet and pretty too! #fangirl.

The process was pretty painless. BabyD didn't make a fuss, and it was probably over in less than 10 minutes! She mixed some plaster (i think that's what it is) with water and wrap it around BabyD's hands and feet.  BabyD seems to enjoy it.  We paid Baby Loft in full before we left, and we'll need to collect it again in a few weeks time. Am so looking forward to see it! :)

Doing the feet first
Captivated
still can't stop staring at her! hehe

Siblings

Yep..confirm chop chop siblings. In case you still need to guess, Peanut is in yellow.

Bisou, why you don't have special cupcake holder??

Bought this lovely cupcake the other day from Bisou for Peanut. I scolded her the night before because she just refused to sleep..and I felt so bad after that. Like guilty bad kinda feeling..

Was at Bangsar Village after work,  saw Bisou and decided to grab her one. Lots of colorful heart shaped sprinkles too.. I like! As I was still shopping midway, i have to carry it in a plastic bag. Not a very good idea, when it's not placed in a special holder. Even though i was carrying it really carefully, it still managed to touch the sides of the box. Arghh...hate that. Hate that it's no longer perfect.

Peanut was still excited to see it though.
My poor cupcake

Placed it on her tray for her to eat in front of tv.

The books in my life..

So what do I do when I have a littttle bit of free time?? I wish i can say something a bit more happening like maybe oo..quilt making? But no..I have been wrapping ALL my books. All 250 plus of them. It first started off with two new books which I bought recently. Not liking how the cover feels on my hands, I decided to wrap it. I quite like the end result. So then i move on to a few other books, then 5 more..then another 10 more. And it goes on. Cos in a way I don't like my things half done. If i want my new books wrapped, then ALL my other books need to be wrapped too! After wrapping all 200 plus of them, I think i have gone through 1 cellotape, and possibly 15 rolls of plastic wrapper. No kid.

I quite enjoyed it though... it's strangely therapeutic in a way. And the result is satisfying, even though at the end of the day, it's just wrapped books haha.
My bookshelves.

Books at my bedside table that I have not read yet. I'm strangely anticipating Stieg Larrson's books. Do you know he died after he submitted his manuscripts for all his 3 books?? He died of a heart attack at the age of 50. He never knew the success that his books reached, and that movies were made for his "the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". Kinda sad when I read this nugget of information. :(

Don't you hate boiling water?

Oh ok..the title may be a bit misleading. I don't hate boiling water. What i hate is making sure that we have enough drinking water at home all the time. We have a Diamond water filter at home, but we don't drink the water straight from the tap as I'm not 100% convinced that there won't be any germs left? Anyway..the paranoid side of me insist that I should BOIL ALL THE WATER before consuming them. Especially when I'm feeding them to my kids.

I used to use two glass water jugs at home which I used to fill up with boiled water. Lately, i realised, how inconvenient it is! These jugs are only 1 liter max each, and with the way we are downing water all the time, I have to constantly boil and fill them with water. AND worse part is, ants always seems to find their way to my drinking water even though the jugs have lids on it. Which I  place a towel on top to keep them away. And I also place these jugs into a shallow container  of water. DOESN'T HELP. And this is when i realised that ants won't die in shallow water!!! Somehow they still managed to swim to the side of the jug, creep into the water jug's beak and drowned inside. Not a nice sight, when you're drinking some water and you see some floating, dead ants inside.

I don't think buying a kettle and storing the boiled water inside will solve my problem. The ants in my house seems to be quite smart.. and I know they will find a way somehow to invade my water. So how do i solve my water woes?? Another question: how do you get rid of ants without using ridsect??

Anyway...I bought this from Tupperware. I like. Good buy of the month for me. Can fill up so much water, there's a tap, it's portable with a large handle (so can bring to picnic in future haha) and most importantly of all, I don't think a naughty, wayward ant can get inside because it's super air tight.

I likey!!

Peanut's 3rd Birthday

Peanut is now 3 years old! 3 years old omg..i think most mothers will say this. Where did time go????

To celebrate,  I organised a small dinner with my in laws at our place. And this took place a month plus ago.

Super happy with some of her gifts

Can you guess what cake is this?? If you managed to guess Special Agent Oso then congrats wtf. We thought he looked more like a mouse than a bear, but since Peanut can guess instantly when we opened the cake box, then the baker must be doing something right hoho.

Btw, the chocolate cake is really yummy and moist, and only cost me RM80 for 1kg. Bought in Klang yo. Prices so different than those in KL.

Enjoying her cake. Finding the right people to do her Special Agent Oso cake was very worth it for she was talking about it endlessly days after.
Super happy

I did all the cooking for the day. Half way cooking gotta bring BabyD to the clinic because he still had a cough, and we can hear that his throat was quite phlegmy because everytime he breathes, I can hear a gurgling sound. So we brought him to his regular paed. And my gosh..the queue was so long!!!  So, by the time I got home and resumed my cooking, it was almost 3pm wtf.

Ah..I hate rushing when I cook.. i get all hot and sweaty and i can feel so stressed and a fever coming up. Drama betul rite? Yah, i actually felt quite sick by the end of it, that I downed a panadol. That night we took lots of pictures, with her gong gong and popo. We really cherished these photos as these pictures were the final ones that she took with her gong gong..

The re-arranger

My maid has a habit of rearranging my stuff. She puts away my slow cooker when I didn't ask her to, or there's one time I was looking for my breast pump only to find it in the kitchen cabinets.

One day I came from home a shopping trip with the family, to find that she has rearranged all of Peanut's toys storage to another location and put a flower pot on my coffee table. When I opened the door to the house , I saw her standing there, her eyes  shining brightly, showing me all her efforts, a hopeful smile on her face. She was proud of it! And so, I shaddap.  I thanked her instead. How to comment when I know her intentions are all good, and she did all that just so that  I will be pleased??

Only when she left for my in-laws's place, did I put everything back again haha
